Home Run Dugout is Bringing Dingers to the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference!
The Home Run Dugout team is heading to Boston for the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, taking place March 7-8, 2025. As one of only two interactive exhibits at the event, HRD is giving attendees the chance to step up to the plate and experience the quality, craftsmanship, and pure enjoyment of its state-of-the-art batting bays.
If you're attending the MIT Sloan Analytics Conference, make sure to swing by our setup and put your skills to the test in the Dinger Derby™ Challenge for a shot at big-time prizes!
Every swing matters in our Dinger Derby Challenge, where participants will compete for the ultimate bragging rights and exclusive prizes. Here’s how it works:
The Top 5 hitters from Day 1 with the highest exit velocities will advance to the ultimate showdown: The Dinger Derby Challenge – Saturday (Day 2) at 11:30 AM.
The finalists will go head-to-head, swinging for the fences to claim the Mystery Grand Prize!
But don’t worry—2nd-5th place hitters will also walk away with awesome prizes, because there's no crying in baseball.
Bonus: Open play is available all day on both Friday & Saturday for all conference attendees. So even if you're not in the competition, you can still take some swings and experience HRD's innovative batting technology firsthand.

Home Run Dugout (HRD) was founded in 2015 by childhood friends Nick Hermandorfer and Tyler Bambrick with one goal: to let everyone experience the greatest feeling in sports—hitting a home run. HRD’s first venue opened at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, TX, in 2019, in partnership with Nolan Ryan and Ryan Sanders Baseball. In Spring 2023, HRD launched its first full-scale standalone venue in Houston-Katy, TX, featuring a full-service restaurant, multiple bars, dedicated corporate event spaces, and 22 cutting-edge batting bays.
